Rosie’s

Project designed by my better half and Sam Webb at Terremoto. David Godshall had some mediocre ideas but really just stopped by for the cocktails. Our crews built the house and the yard. Tony Martinez, my man, and his crew crushed it. Travis @ Guga Architecture drew up the interiors. When we bought this house, we pretty much felt the layout of the interior and exterior spaces as soon as we walked in. Sam drew up the yard, I changed the elevation of the pool a million times (once after we dug it, ugh) and we pushed on. The pool is waterproofed concrete, no tile, no plaster. We installed an ozone system (Thanks RJ!) in the pool, which means there are no chemicals, at all. In the yard, our friends at Angel City Lumber (decks, fences, steps, chunks) supplied the felled wood locally from Los Angeles, Grey Water Corps handled the greywater system, Fruitstitute did the orchard and Wesley Thatcher built us a rad firepit. All helped to make this a reality. It’s still a work in process. The garden continues to evolve as I plant things, some work, some don’t, I rip them out and try again. Thank you Caitlin for always delivering amazing pictures.
